Niko Korventaus wants to grow as international fighter

Helsinki Combat Academy of Finland’s fighter  Niko Korventaus is one of the fastest growing  fighters in Finland. In February  he  impressively defeated its rival Sami Leino. He is currently preparing for his second professional fight at the King of Kings Helsinki kickboxing event in May.

Going in to  international federation is hard.

“I have started universal training two times a day, So I can say that a lot of effort has been added while preparing for the tournament.”

The training conditions are good, because two other home-fighters will be fighting  in the evening of KOK event:  Abdifatah Khalif and Bok Biil also work under the guidance of coach Deo Phetsangkhat.

Mantas Grubliauskas from Lithuania will be fighting with  Korventaus in Helsinki. The event  has a weight limit of less than 71 kilos and its scheduled duration is 3×3 rounds. M. Grubliauskas was fighting in March in KOK event in Lithuania, where his rival was Hubert Dylewski from Poland, M. Grubliauskas have defeated his rival.

“Young and surely hungry guys will meet at the ring, I know nothing about my opponent, but I believe that the match will be hard.”

“In the future, the goal is to catch hard and good matches at regular intervals to get more match experience. In the short term, the intention is to go to the Thai boxing side to see what the level of that world is.”

The King of Kings Helsinki will be held at Kulttuuritalo hal  on May 17th.
