Some make their debut quietly—like humble freshmen, cautiously observing the veterans. Kristupas Janciauskas is not one of them. On March 22, he will step into the KOK ring at the TwinsBet Arena not just to say hello but to declare: “I am here to stay. I am the new personality this place needed. And I am the guy who can say more than just ‘the preparation was great’.”

Facing Kristupas will be Adomas Razma, a talented MMA fighter who recently returned from the European Championship with a technical knockout victory. But Kristupas is unfazed: “He is one of the most promising fighters in his division in Lithuania—great, congratulations. But I have a silver medal from the European KUDO Championship, and under K-1 rules, I have defeated most of the top youth fighters in the 75-77 kg category. So, KOK now has two of the most promising fighters—the only question is which one of us will become the one.”

Where does such confidence come from? The answer is simple: “Tsunami, Tsunami, Tsunami,” says Kristupas. His club, Cunamis, in Kaunas has been producing real, fearless fighters for over 20 years. “Small gloves, point-based system—KUDO forces you to think, move, and calculate every step. And when you land a shot, you land it in a way that makes people gasp.”

The fight will follow KOK rules—no ground game, no time to meditate on the mat. “Here, you have to work with your hands, legs, head, and speed. You can lie down after the fight—if you need medical assistance.”

But Kristupas’ goal is much bigger than just one fight. “I want to become the face of KOK—not just a fighter who appears once a year. I want to be the one people are waiting to see. That’s why every interview, every entrance, every strike—everything has to have meaning.”

Outside the ring, Janciauskas is just as lively. “In my free time, I like to participate. Where? Doesn’t matter. When? Also doesn’t matter. If something is happening, you’ll find me among people. Because you only live once, and the best stories are born when you stop counting how many hours are left until training.”

And if anyone still tries to compare him to Dominykas Dirkstys, Kristupas’ response is straightforward: “D. Dirkstys is a smart marketer who knows how to use attention and convert it into value. If people compare me to him, it means I’m doing everything right. Real recognize real.”

March 22 is not just another evening on the KOK calendar. It’s a night when one name will be remembered longer than the others. And knowing how much energy, ambition, and boldness Kristupas brings, this tsunami is not going anywhere quietly.
