FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Sakarya, Turkey on Friday August 16th 2019 starting at 7:00 pm CEST (8:00 pm local time).
King of Kings is back on FightBox for the promotion’s twelfth big event of 2019 and the seventh time in Turkey since joining forces with KOK Turkish representative Erkan Varol. The outdoor Hendek Bayraktepe Arena in Sakarya, Turkey has been completely full with over 10,000 fans in attendance twice already this summer for KOK and this Friday it’s expected to be full again.
The fight card features many of Turkey’s brightest new stars including Ahmet Kilic, who has already competed for KOK Turkey on three previous occasions and is undefeated. At the last event in July he defeated Hoessein Mollamahdi of Iran who had also been undefeated up to that point. Now he faces his next test, Jamshidbek Tursunbaev of Uzbekistan who last competed for King of Kings in June.
Also on the card are two talented female fighters, Begum Karli and Esra Yalin, both of Turkey, who will compete at -65 kg. In the past some of the most entertaining bouts on the Turkish fight cards have come from the ladies, including the four-woman tournament that took place in December of 2018. Both women are making their KOK debuts. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
