At the early press conference for the KOK’126 World Series tournament, set to take place on March 22 at the TwinsBet Arena in Vilnius, a group of well-known fighters shared their insights and ambitious goals. Among them were Danielius Grebliunas, Vilius Tarasevicius, Jonas Jazevicius, Povilas Kvietinskas, Kestutis Kavaliauskas, Benas and Samuelis Sorochovai, and others. The fighters spoke about the upcoming event, their victories, and the challenges ahead.
During the press conference, two highly intriguing matchups were announced, already generating significant interest among martial arts fans. The first bout will feature a showdown between young MMA talent Emilijus Kaganovicius and the well-known, highly versatile fighter Samuelis Sorochovas.
Samuelis shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight against Emilijus: “Anything can happen; I’m preparing for everything. Whether the fight goes to the ground remains to be seen. One thing is clear—he will try to wrestle, but maybe he won’t have the chance…”
Emilijus, on the other hand, remained composed when discussing the fight: “I believe I’m a versatile fighter, and you can expect anything from me.”
A boxing clash will also take place between two of the sport’s most decorated representatives. Welterweight champion Jonas Jazevicius will face heavyweight champion Povilas Kvietinskas.
Jonas Jazevicius on his opponent: “What I’ll do in the fight, you’ll see later. But I can say that Povilas is a great fighter. I gave him a chance to win a championship by moving down to a lighter weight class—he took advantage of it. He’s a strong and worthy opponent.”
Povilas Kvietinskas: “I know we’re in for hell and an incredibly tough fight. I wish my opponent, and myself, the best preparation possible.”
Kestutis Kavaliauskas, known for his strong character, revealed that he often thinks about a fight with the controversial Brazilian fighter Rodrigo Mineiro. Mineiro is recognized not only for his skills in the ring but also for his colorful personality and outspoken nature.
The tournament will feature top-tier fighters ready to showcase to Lithuania and the world that their battles are a spectacle of the highest level—filled with professionalism, mutual respect, and the true warrior spirit that you won’t see anywhere else.
